Today we celebrated our first
Chinese New Year! We had so much fun and plan to make this a family tradition for many years to come. This year is the Year of the Dragon. So, we started our celebration by making a dragon cake...thanks to the girls at chinaadopttalk.com.
As you can see, we had a lot of fun making this cake. Bennie loved sorting the M&Ms and Jackson was up to his elbows in frosting.
Jackson did a great job decorating the bundt cakes with M&Ms and fruit slices~half chocolate and half spice cake...my favorite!

Jackson loved making this cake. He wants to make another one for his birthday. As you can see in the photo, some of the yellow M&Ms are already missing...Bennie!
For dinner we had pot stickers and edamame...a family favorite! After dinner, we went outside on the front porch to light up our red lanterns.
